Following the success of Broadchurch, FOX TV commissioned this ten part US series which premiered on 2 October 2014.
The US version is set in a seemingly idyllic northern Californian coastal town which is thrown into turmoil when a young boy is found dead. Soon deemed a homicide, the case turns neighbour against neighbour and sparks a media frenzy, which not only throws the boy’s family into further turmoil, but also threatens to upend the lives of all of the town’s residents.
The cast featured David Tennant, Anna Gunn, Virginia Kull, Michael Pena, Nick Nolte and Jacki Weaver.Gracepoint is an Imaginary Friends co-production with Shine America and Kudos for FOX.
